Srimati Rose Kharsyntiew runs the CSC or Common Service Centre in Mairang which is a physical facility that delivers Government of India e-Services to the village of Mairang and nearby rural villages and remote locations where availability of computers and Internet is negligible or mostly absent. The centre which she opened with the help and support of her father provides the villagers with a bouquet of services like paying electricity bills, Online Payment for various Exams, Computer Course Training, Online Payment for MPSC Exams, etc.
Under the ambit of CSC Mairang, Srimati Rose Kharsyntiew also started the initiative of LED Bulb Assembly. This undertaking is a first of its kind in the whole District. The LED bulb is more cost-effective compared to CFL and does not contain mercury which is harmful to the environment. Being locally produced and offering a warranty period of 1 year, the LED Bulb assembled at CSC Mairang becomes a more cost-effective option for the villagers. A complaint desk has also been set up for handling any customers’ complaints.
The undertaking employs 4 local youths and makes an annual turnover of Rs 4 Lakhs. Srimati Rose Kharsyntiew is also looking to expanding her bouquet of services by expanding her CSC unit into a Digital Village Enterprise.
